Quickstart

Go from zero to your first perp position in a few minutes. You'll need a wallet and some USDG or a Robinhood stock token on Robinhood Chain.

1. Connect your wallet#

Open the HoodPerp terminal and click Connect wallet. You can sign in with email (which creates an embedded wallet) or connect an external wallet like MetaMask, Rabby, or Coinbase Wallet.

2. Deposit margin#

Click Deposit and choose your asset. Deposit USDG directly, or pick a stock token — HoodPerp converts it to USDG margin for you in the same transaction.

1. Pick an asset

   Select USDG or any listed stock token from the dropdown.

2. Enter an amount

   Approve the token (first time only), then confirm the deposit in your wallet.

3. Wait for confirmation

   Your USDG margin balance updates once the transaction settles on-chain.

3. Enable trading#

The first time you trade, you'll approve a delegated trading key. This is a one-time wallet signature that lets HoodPerp place orders without prompting each time.

4. Place a trade#

1. Choose a market

   Use the market selector to pick a perp (e.g. NVDA-USD, BTC-USD).

2. Set direction & size

   Choose Long or Short, set your leverage, and enter a size — the slider reflects your available buying power.

3. Submit

   Confirm the order. It appears under Open Orders, then in Positions once filled.

4. Close when ready

   Hit Close on the position to submit a reduce-only order that flattens it.
